Beaujolais Nouveau Day, Rogue Valley style -- five local wineries release their nouveau wines together: Irvine & Roberts Vineyards, Sound & Vision, Ryan Rose Wines, Weisinger Family Winery, and Resistance Wine Co. All Gamay picked the same day from the same block at Irvine & Roberts Vineyard. Come taste the harvest in its rawest, most immediate form.
Beaujolais Nouveau Day in Ashland
Beaujolais Nouveau Day is the third Thursday of November, when France releases the first wine of the harvest at midnight and the rest of the world finds an excuse to open it by dinner. Ashland has had its own version since 2019, when a few local winemakers made a Beaujolais-style Gamay together and threw a party for it. It stuck. Every November since, the town's wineries pour their nouveau side by side, and the Ashland Nouveau Fest is where that happens now.
The wine is Gamay, picked the same day from the same block at Irvine & Roberts, then made five different ways by five different cellars. It is bright, low in tannin, meant to be drunk cold and young, and it is the closest thing to tasting the harvest itself. Come for the comparison: same fruit, five winemakers, five answers.
Tickets are $50 through Eventbrite and include pours from all five wineries. The fest runs 5 to 8 pm at Resistance Wine Co., 322 N Pioneer St, a five-minute walk from the Shakespeare Festival, so nobody has to drive between tasting rooms. Making a weekend of it? Do I need a ticket or a reservation?
Yes. Grab tickets above; they're the only way in.
What does it cost?
$50 per person.
Can I bring my kids?
Not to this one. This event is 21+ only, no minors. Kids are welcome at our other events until 9 PM.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, if they're cool. If your dog's nicer than most humans — perfect. If not, maybe let them guard the couch instead.
What kind of wine do you make?
Syrah, Malbec, Cab Sauv, Tempranillo, Sauvy B, Chenin Blanc, Rosé, and whatever other rebellious surprises we bottled last.
Can I host my event here?

What should I wear?
Whatever you can spill Syrah on without crying. Although, Lin usually has a Tide Stick in their bag for emergencies. Somm things.
Will there be food?
Yes. The Allium Wood-Fired Pizza feeds our event nights: charcuterie, empanadas, wood-fired pies, pastas, salads, potato-chip pairings and chocolates. The Allium's wood-fired pizza truck keeps its own hours, usually 11 AM–8 PM; Friday Night Pizza Night runs 5–8 PM. The Allium is a separate business and sometimes caters offsite events, so check with them before coming just for pizza. Plan on coming hungry.
