Nick Garrett-Powell
Nick Garrett-Powell is a one-man band from Grants Pass who builds every song live, in layers, off a single acoustic guitar: rhythm, bass, leads and percussion, looped in front of you. Classically trained. Also plays mandolin, melodica and jaw harp, which is more instruments than most of us can name. He has toured internationally with The Fret Drifters and opened for Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Johnson, Pat Benatar and Rick Springfield. The repertoire runs pop, blues, gypsy jazz, reggae and jazz standards, so the set list is whatever the room earns. Counting the bands, he is on our calendar more than anyone else on this wall. We have stopped pretending that's a coincidence.
